We’re very excited about our reunion this week! Kisma’s back from India and we’re looking forward to bringing you some of the amazing highlights from her trip. In true Illumination Podcast fashion, we’re kicking off a series about some of the teachings at the Vedanta Academy.

In part 1 of the series, we’re discussing a day in the ashram life - an ashram is a spiritual community. It’s a place where people go to live, stay and study. There’s a bit of a difference with the structure at the Vedanta Academy - evident right in the name. It was consciously created as an academy by founder, Swami Parthasarathy, to have an essence of philosophy. Vedanta isn’t a religion; while topics of religion and spirituality are discussed at the academy, the overall focus is on the ancient philosophy and the knowledge.
